Snuggles’ story

Snuggles came into our care after spending time in a shelter in Ohio at the age of 17. No dog should ever have to experience life in a shelter at that age, and it was heartbreaking to see her so stressed and struggling with the shelter environment. With no foster, rescue, or adoption interest, we knew we had to step in and give her a chance at comfort and happiness in her golden years.

Once she arrived, we began learning more about her unique needs. It became clear that Snuggles was sensitive and could be a bite risk, making her a poor candidate for traditional adoption. She was officially labeled “unadoptable,” but that didn’t stop us. We were determined to find her the care and love she deserved.

Fortunately, we were able to place her with an incredible foster mom who understood her needs and gave her a safe, nurturing environment. With patience, love, and stability, Snuggles has truly thrived. She has grown more confident, relaxed, and happy, showing us that even dogs who have faced challenges and setbacks can flourish when given the right care and compassion.
