About Betty White
Meet Betty White.
Betty is a 11/12 year old Papillon mix.
She is one of five dogs surrendered to a rural county animal shelter. Of all of them, she’s the only one still waiting for a forever home. Previously known as “Squirt,” Betty tends to be timid, shy, and very independent — but she’s slowly learning what it means to be a real dog. She is beginning to explore the house, wag her tail, and approach people on her own terms.
Betty is puppy‑pad trained, crate‑trained, and works on leash manners (though putting the leash on her can be a challenge). She gets along fine with other dogs and cats, though she is not currently recommended for homes with children due to her reserved nature and need for space.
She’s our longest resident — the dog who has waited the longest — and all she really needs is time, patience, and someone willing to let her blossom at her own pace.
If you’re looking for a quiet, gentle companion and are willing to give her the time and respect she needs to build trust and confidence, Betty could be the perfect match.
Adoptable Millie
Meet Millie.
Millie is a big, beautiful pit‑mix with a heart as big as she is. She found herself abandoned — sadly left behind when her owners moved away — and was discovered while in labor. Within 24 hours, she courageously delivered seven healthy puppies. All of her babies have since found homes, but Millie remains in search of her forever family.
Millie is a devoted, loving, velcro‑type dog who lives to be near her person. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats — in fact, her best friend is a Doberman. She currently lives in a home with five dogs and five cats and does great with everyone. Her whole world revolves around affection and companionship.
She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained — though she may still pull when she gets excited. What Millie really cares about is being close to her person and being part of the action. She follows you everywhere, ready to shower you with love and loyalty at a moment’s notice.
Millie is ready for a home where she can receive the love and devotion she’s always deserved: a stable, caring environment, a human who appreciates a loyal companion, and plenty of time for snuggles and shared moments.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, dog who gives her whole heart and then some — Millie is waiting for you.
About Weenie
Meet Weenie!
Weenie is a 2–3-year-old mixed breed with a personality as big as her heart. What is she exactly—lab mix, a giant Chihuahua, or something else entirely? Honestly, no one knows, but that’s part of her charm!
This sweet girl is full of love and affection and thrives on attention from her people. She prefers the company of small dogs and cats, though she might do well with a large, calm male. She’s not a fan of big, boisterous dogs, so a home without them would be ideal.
Weenie is fully crate-trained, potty-trained, and leash-trained, making her a well-mannered companion for any household. She’s playful, spunky, and always ready to keep you entertained.
If you’re looking for a little love, laughter, and personality in your life, Weenie is the perfect girl for you!
About Kitty
Meet Kitty (also known as Kitten).
Kitty is a gentle and good-natured 6–7-year-old cattle dog mix who came into rescue after being surrendered to a high-intake, high-risk shelter. Despite her rough start, she has settled into her new environment with grace and an easygoing charm that makes everyone fall in love with her immediately.
Kitty is a devoted snack enthusiast and has fully embraced the art of relaxation. Lounging on the couch, curling up for naps, and supervising household activities from her favorite cozy spot are all skills she has perfected. She has a wonderfully expressive personality and isn’t afraid to use her voice. She loves to “talk,” offering plenty of sass, commentary, and conversational howls that keep her foster family entertained.
She is fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, making her an easy addition to almost any home. Kitty gets along beautifully with other dogs, is respectful of cats, and is gentle and patient with children. Her calm temper and loving demeanor make her a great fit for families, couples, or individuals looking for a companion who enjoys both quiet time and the occasional burst of playful energy. While she is a laid-back couch potato most of the time, she still gets the zoomies now and then, reminding everyone that she has a fun and spirited side as well.
Kitty is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and microchipped. She is ready for a forever home where she can continue to feel safe, loved, and appreciated. If you are looking for a steady, affectionate, and charming dog who wants nothing more than to be part of your daily routine, Kitty may be exactly who you’ve been searching for.
About Axel
Meet Axel.
Axel is a distinguished 10–11-year-old pit bull/pit mix who truly defines what it means to be a gentleman. Despite his age, he has a joyful spirit and an impressive zest for life, balanced perfectly with calm, respectful manners around the home.
Axel is fully potty-trained and leash-trained. While kennels aren’t his favorite place, he does wonderfully when free roaming—he is not destructive and prefers to spend his downtime resting quietly on his own. He settles easily and is content relaxing when it’s time to unwind.
Socially, Axel is exceptional. He gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, poultry, and even livestock, making him an incredibly versatile companion for many types of homes. He is good with children as well, though he would thrive best in a home with calmer kids who match his gentle nature.
Don’t let his age fool you—Axel is still energetic and playful. He loves zoomies, enjoys daily walks, is happy to go on hikes, and does very well in public settings. He’s confident, well-mannered, and a joy to take along on outings.
Axel is as close to a “perfect dog” as you’ll find: kind, adaptable, loving, and easy to live with. He’s ready to spend his golden years with a family who will appreciate his steady companionship and big heart. Located in Richmond Ky
About Fanzo
Meet Fanzo.
Fanzo is a beautiful 5–6-month-old husky mix, and judging by those big expressive ears, we believe he may also have some shepherd in his lineage. He and his mother were found wandering as strays in a rural area and were quickly taken to a county shelter for safety. His mother was adopted shortly afterward, leaving Fanzo alone and unsure. He has been with us for a few months now, and despite being such a fantastic puppy, he has received very little interest. We’re hoping to change that, because Fanzo truly deserves his chance.
Fanzo has an excellent foundation for such a young dog. He is already potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, making him a wonderfully easy puppy to continue raising. He gets along well with dogs, cats, and children, and his personality is warm, affectionate, and eager to bond. Fanzo is what we lovingly call a “giant lover”—a puppy who wants nothing more than to be close to his people, give hugs, and soak up attention.
He has the playful, inquisitive nature typical of huskies and shepherds, but he balances it with a gentle sweetness that makes him a joy to have around. With the right family, he will thrive—whether that’s a home with children, other pets, or active adults who want a loyal companion for everyday life and outdoor adventures.
Fanzo is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. He is fully ready to leave rescue life behind and begin the happy future he deserves.
About Tanqueray
Meet Tanqueray.
Tanqueray is an 8–9-year-old pit/pit mix who proves that age is just a number. She is our beloved senior “tripod,” but don’t worry—her three legs don’t slow her down one bit! Tanqueray is an energetic, happy, and loving girl who gets around with ease and enjoys being part of daily life.
She is incredibly well-behaved and adaptable. Tanqueray does great on a leash, rides calmly in vehicles, and is comfortable in a kennel. She’s a dog who thrives with routine and enjoys every bit of attention she receives.
The only thing potential adopters should know is that Tanqueray has a high prey drive. For her safety and comfort, she would do best in a home without cats or small dogs. Beyond that, she’s a perfect companion for someone who wants a loyal, affectionate, and spirited senior dog who still has plenty of love and life to share.
Tanqueray is ready to find a forever home where she can continue to thrive and be adored.
