Meet Tanqueray, our lovely senior tri-pod.

Tanqueray first arrived at LMAS in urgent need of medical care. Although funds were quickly raised to help her, her safety was still at risk. After arriving at a rescue home, she faced another life-threatening situation simply because she could not live with cats—the rescue even considered euthanasia the very next day.

We were contacted and immediately stepped in to bring Tanqueray into our care.

She loves naps!

Since then, she has received the medical treatment she desperately needed, including the amputation of her front left leg. But don’t be fooled—losing a leg has not slowed her down one bit. Tanqueray is fast, affectionate, intelligent, and wonderfully gentle. She is easy to handle, shows no food aggression, and is completely comfortable in a kennel. Her biggest “fault”? She loves affection so much that she will smother you with kisses—she adores love.

Tanqueray is thriving in her daily life. She goes outside to potty reliably, enjoys free roaming the home, and loves spending time outdoors. Her energy, happiness, and zest for life are truly inspiring.

While she is incredibly loving and social, Tanqueray must go to a home without cats or small dogs. She would do best as an only dog or with a large, calm male or a large, submissive female. She does have a high prey drive, so careful placement is important. Meet-and-greets are required.

Tanqueray is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
